Whether it be the NHL’s groundbreaking deal with Disney, or Motorsports’ involvement in Roblox, one thing seems clearer than ever.
The future of sport is in the hands of the future of humanity.

But seriously, if the last couple of months has shown us anything, it’s that engagement with younger fanbases is more important than ever.
With that, it looks like the NBA thinks the same.
Striking a deal with Zigazoo, a children-friendly social media network, the league is looking to promote its content to Gen Z and Alpha fans.
Announced right before the start of the NBA finals, the league's most important set of games, this is what we know so far:
The deal will span across multiple years, building the NBA fan base for a long time to come.
The partnership will include challenges for users across Zigazoo’s platforms to play. These will include trivia and mini-games to increase fans’ understanding of the sport
Interactive content will be incorporated into the platform, asking users numerous different things from who their favourite team to player is.
Having already gained investments from athletes like Serena Williams and other big sports companies, it’s clear to see that Zigazoo is here to stay…
AI to The Rescue!

Like all Football fans know, this is a time of excitement, hope, and eventual despair, of course…
With big moves around the corner, the window for an elite striker could be open.
As always, whenever that’s the case, there seems to be one name which fans the world over just cannot keep out their mouth. Harry Kane; and hey, I mean it is for good reason. Who really wants to be at Spurs?
Sorry, we got sidetracked. So with that all, you may be wondering why we're talking about Harry Kane today. Well, this week the English striker announced his investment in OXEFit, an AI Fitness and Robotics company.
Come on, you didn’t actually expect us not to bring up AI, did you? 🤣
Stating the amount of players missing out on the Women’s World Cup to be “a real shame”, Kane hopes that his investment will set things in the right direction.
“Injury prevention is something that is the most important thing to me… It will only get more impressive the more AI will get better. Hopefully in the long run we’ll start kind of seeing less and less injuries.”
With the AI technology being able to be more precise in the detection of small lingering pains athletes can have, a greater emphasis can be placed on recovery and, by extension, better performances.
Using AI to integrate robotics, movement, and performance tracking into their technology, OXEFit can identify even the most indistinguishable data such as if an athlete is favouring one side over another.
Also receiving investment from Wayne Gretzky, it’s clear to see why athletes have been showing their support.
We Need to Talk About: Esports
So, Esports. You know, the gruelling, energy-draining, sport of… playing video games 😅
Alright, alright – we can talk about whether it really is a ‘sport’ another day. What we can say, though, is that it seems like it’s here to stay. For now…
With its growth becoming more stagnant in the last few years, many are asking where the industry will go from here.
Well, if recent developments are anything to go by, the only way is up!
Raising THREE MILLION DOLLARS 🤯, M80 – a professional Esports team – are looking to change the game…
And they may just have the platform to do so. Launching in late 2022, the group have already amassed over 12 million followers and do not look to be stopping anytime soon.
Optimistic for the future, despite Esports’ rocky past, M80 will look to be pioneers in incorporating Web3 offerings in the industry.
“This is still a massive global audience of over 3 billion people… [we will launch] digital items with real-world utility and innovations in Web3, blockchain, and other emerging technologies.”
So, who knows, this could be the start of something very interesting in the Esports world…
